PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head cap and the like which can prevent components from "prying" each other to reliably seal a nozzle surface of a functional droplet ejecting head.SOLUTION: A head cap 81 for separably coming into close contact with a nozzle surface of an inkjet-type functional droplet ejecting head includes: a cap body 100 mounted with a sealing member coming into close contact with the nozzle surface; a biasing means for biasing the sealing member toward the nozzle surface via the cap body 100; a cap holder 101 for holding the cap body 100 so as to be slidable in a separating and contacting direction; and a pair of guide pins 107 erected at both ends in a longitudinal direction of the cap holder 101 to guide the sliding of the cap body 100 and also to restrict the position of the cap body in a biasing end position. A pair of slide engagement parts 132 configured to slidably engage with each guide pin 107 are formed at both ends in a longitudinal direction of the cap body 100.
