Provided is a gelling agent comprising an N-acyl acidic amino acid dialkylamide that has a D/L ratio (a D-form/an L-form (w/w)) of 5/95 to 20/80 or 80/20 to 95/5. Also provided is a gel-like composition, particularly a rod-shaped composition, which is produced using the gelling agent, has excellent transparency and excellent strength and also has excellent blendability into the skin, hair or the like and excellent spreadability on the skin, hair or the like upon application onto the skin, hair or the like. |
