Provided is a contact, whereby relative movement between the contact and subjects to be connected is made smooth, in a state wherein one of the subjects to be connected is inserted into the contact, and excellent surface conditions of the contact and the subjects to be connected are maintained. This contact is configured such that: an interval (W1) between first contact sections (53) is set smaller than a thickness (T1) of a first subject to be connected (91), in a state wherein the first subject to be connected (91) and a second subject to be connected (83) are not inserted into a contact (40); an interval (W2) between second contact sections (54) is set larger than a thickness (T2) of the second subject to be connected (83), in a state wherein the first subject to be connected (91) and the second subject to be connected (83) are not inserted into the contact (40); and that a pair of conductive sections (50) relatively move to sandwich the second subject to be connected (83) between the second contact sections (54) with a reduced interval between the second contact sections (54) when the first subject to be connected (91) is inserted into between the first contact sections (53). |
