Provided is a carbon dioxide recovery device which has: an absorption column for absorbing carbon dioxide by bringing a gas containing carbon dioxide into contact with an absorbing liquid; a regeneration column for regenerating the absorbing liquid which has absorbed carbon dioxide, by releasing carbon dioxide from the absorbing liquid; a circulation system for circulating the absorbing liquid such that the absorbing liquid flows from the absorption column via the regeneration column to the absorption tower; and a supply system which uses the absorbing liquid that flows to the absorption column and/or the absorbing liquid inside the absorption column to produce steam that can be used as a heat source for regenerating the absorbing liquid, and supplies the steam to the regeneration column. Absorption of carbon dioxide and release/regeneration of carbon dioxide are repeated, high temperature steam is generated from the absorbing liquid that flows to the absorption column and the absorbing liquid in the absorption column, and the steam is fed to the regeneration column and used as a heat source for regenerating the absorbing liquid.
