A scene change detection part 202 sets, at the video processing part 18, an image quality setting parameter corresponding to the presence or absence of a scene change detected based on the frame difference histogram and the luminance histogram. The video processing part 18 performs video processing in accordance with the image quality setting parameters and causes a display part 21 to perform displaying.
