PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a required in-cylinder flow, when starting an internal combustion engine or in other cases.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine is constituted so that a plasma actuator 1 in which electrodes 21 and 22 are arranged for making pairs by sandwiching a dielectric 23 and which generates plasma 0 and a flow 4 of gas in the vicinity of the electrodes 21 on the surface side of the dielectric 23 by impressing AC voltage or pulse voltage between the electrodes 21 and 22, is arranged on an inner wall surface of an intake port 6, and in-cylinder flows 91, 92 and 93 are enhanced by using the flow 4 of the gas generated by the plasma actuator 1 by operating the plasma actuator 1 in a period for opening an intake valve 61. |
