PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general purpose engine control apparatus capable of detecting misfire occurrence with high accuracy, while reducing adaptation man-hours of misfire determination.SOLUTION: A general purpose engine control apparatus includes a first air-fuel ratio determining means 25 for making a rich/lean determination based on an O2 sensor output value, an injection amount correcting means 22 for calculating a corrected injection amount Qf corresponding to a theoretical air-fuel ratio in response to a determining result of the first air-fuel ratio determining means, an injection control means 23 for supplying fuel to an engine so as to match the corrected injection amount Qf, a second air-fuel ratio determining means 26 for making a rich/lean determination based on a comparison of an output value of an O2 sensor 15 with a rich determination voltage and a lean determination voltage, a rich/lean period calculating means 27 for calculating a rich/lean period TRL in response to a determining result of the second air-fuel ratio determining means 26, and a misfire determining means 28 for determining the presence/absence of a misfire based on the rich/lean period TRL. The injection control means 23 stops fuel injection to the engine when it is determined that there is the misfire. |
