In a radio system having at least one radio apparatus, the radio apparatus, which transmits, to a terminal station, a radio signal for which a directivity control has been performed, comprises: a known signal generating unit that generates a known signal to be added to the radio signal; a weight computing unit that performs a weight computation for the known signal generated by the known signal generating unit; and a radio processing unit that transmits the known signal for which the weight computing unit has performed the weight computation.
