PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a roller bearing, in which strength of bent portions are increased, allowing rollers to be retained adequately.SOLUTION: A retainer (13) for a roller bearing includes a pair of ring parts (14), and a plurality of column parts (15) each including a column central part (16), a pair of column ends (17) and a pair of column inclined parts (18) positioned between the column central part (16) and the pair of column ends (17) and connecting the pair of ring parts (14). A cylindrical member is radially deformed to form the column central part (16), the pair of column ends (17), and the pair of column inclined parts (18). The cylindrical member is compressed so that the thickness of a boundary portion is made greater than that of each part of the column central part (16), the pair of column ends (17) and the pair of column inclined parts (18), a pocket (20) is formed by punching processing to form roller fall-out prevention parts in a wall surface facing the pocket (20) of the column part (15). |
