PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an internal combustion engine, configured to prevent torque level difference.SOLUTION: A controller of an internal combustion engine includes a control means 50 which performs first injection in an intake stroke and second injection in a compression stroke before a fuel injection valve 17 is completely warmed up. The control means 50 sets the injection amount in the first injection and the injection amount of the second injection to a fixed value, respectively, in the first step before warm-up, and controls the injection amounts in the first and second injections so that air fuel mixture in a combustion chamber is a target air fuel ratio in the second step. The control means executes a step of controlling the injection amount in the first injection so that the air fuel mixture in the combustion chamber is the target air fuel ratio while an amount of change per unit time in injection amount in the second injection is set to zero in the second step, and then executes a step of correcting the injection amount in the second injection so that an injection amount ratio between the first injection and the second injection is a target injection amount ratio. |
