PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a host material for an organic electroluminescent element (OLED) having excellent thermal stability, film formation properties, optical properties and electrochemical properties, and in particular, excellent hall transport properties for a blue phosphorescence OLED and giving high luminance, high power efficiency and the like.SOLUTION: A 1,3,5-tris-((N-carbazolyl)phenyl)benzene (TCPB) derivative, which has bulky substituents at the 3-position and the 6-position of a carbazole group, can be used as a host material for a light emitting layer using a blue phosphorescent pigment as a guest, and further more, can be used for production of a dichroic white light emitting OLED or a trichroic white light emitting OLED. |
