摘要 The present invention relates to (1) a positive electrode body for capacitors, which is formed of a sintered body that contains 80% by mass or more of tungsten dioxide and preferably 3.4% by mass or less of silicon element, (2) a powder which serves as a starting material for the sintered body and is composed of a mixture of a tungsten dioxide powder and a silicon powder, said powder containing 80% by mass or more of the tungsten dioxide powder and 3.4% by mass or less of the silicon powder, while optionally containing tungsten metal powder, (3) a method for producing a positive electrode body for capacitors, wherein the powder is sintered, and (4) an electrolytic capacitor which uses the positive electrode body as one electrode and comprises a dielectric body interposed between the electrode and a counter electrode. The present invention is capable of providing a solid electrolytic capacitor, which has a large smoke generation current, and wherein smoke due to the combustion of a positive electrode material is not generated.
