<p>Disclosed is a radiation image pickup device of the type in which transmitted-image video is acquired, and once transmission-imaging has been discontinued, static imaging or video image pickup for diagnostic purposes is performed, in which an image of a subject of suitable brightness can be picked up. The device is of the type that acquires transmitted-image video, and once transmission-imaging has been discontinued, static imaging or video image pickup for diagnostic purposes is performed. The control conditions (image pickup conditions) of an X-ray tube (3) for static image pickup are determined based on the control conditions of the X-ray tube (3) when the transmitted image is acquired. Also, the brightness of the subject (M) that was imaged in the transmission image is taken into account when determining the image pickup conditions. In this way, suitable image pickup conditions can be acquired, even if live image acquisition is discontinued prior to achieving an appropriate intensity of radiation in the live image acquisition stage. Consequently, with this device, a clear image can be acquired with an appropriate level of exposure.</p> |
