PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated member which has a base material and a porous layer applied on the base material and formed of a nickel alloy (Ni alloy) containing at least nitrogen (N).SOLUTION: A coated member is obtained through a plating step for forming a Ni-based plating layer containing Ni on the surface of a base material and a plasma step for supplying plasma onto the Ni-based plating layer. Since a porous layer constituting the Ni-based coating film has a plurality of fine pores having sizes from about tens to hundreds nm, the Ni-based coating film has excellent lubricant-holding properties. As a result, the Ni-based coating film exhibits excellent sliding properties on its surface. In addition, due to the anchoring effect of the porous layer, a highly adhesive DLC film or the like can be formed even on the Ni-based coating film. In addition, not only the porous layer is formed, but also the base material is nitrided by the plasma step. |
