PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber sensor which allows a load to be hardly applied to an optical properties conversion part, having durability for repeated use and bending with a large curvature.SOLUTION: A fiber sensor includes a light source which emits light, a flexible optical fiber which guides light irradiated from the light source and has at least one optical properties conversion part, and a receiver which receives light guided with the optical fiber. The optical properties conversion part includes an optical properties conversion material which converts the optical properties of the guided light, an aperture formed at a covering member of an optical fiber in a manner such that the bottom comes into contact with a core or a clad of the covering member, and an adhesive for holding the optical properties converting member, filled in the aperture up to the same level of the surface of the covering member adjacent to the aperture in the longitudinal direction or to the thickness lower than the surface. Consequently, the fiber sensor has durability for repeated use and bending with a large curvature. |
