PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition for a color filter having high brightness even when it is subjected to heat treatment under 230°C or more in a color filter formation process, and a color filter having high brightness formed using the colored composition for a color filter.SOLUTION: A colored composition for a color filter includes a colorant [A] including a xanthene dye [A1], a binder resin [B], an antioxidant [C] or a melamine compound [D]. A color filter includes a filter segment formed of the colored composition for a color filter, on a substrate.
