PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal and a method of operating the same which are capable of, in downloading a specific content, determining whether the content to be downloaded is already stored in a portable terminal and then notifying the user of the presence or absence of the same content.SOLUTION: A method for operating a portable terminal comprises: downloading only a predetermined quantity of at least one item of content from a server; and determining whether the same content is already stored, based on the quantity of the downloaded content. |
