PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a hand-powered potter's wheel for making pottery and porcelain is used for adjusting work to have a regular shape while a manually-rotated turntable is rotated under its own inertia but when clay in a base is scraped off, since the clay is half-dried and harder, and frictional resistance to a tool for scraping off the clay becomes large even if the hand-powered potter's wheel is rotated vigorously, the wheel is stopped immediately after a cutting edge is abutted thereon and many kinds of motor-driven potter's wheels which solve this problem are specialized too much, are too large, too expensive and personally hard-to-possess for persons enjoying ceramic art as a hobby.SOLUTION: A motor-driven potter's wheel for pottery and porcelain comprises: a drive unit which comprises a motor, a gearbox and a rotating conductor and is configured as a separate body different from a potter's wheel body; and the potter's wheel body comprising a rotary shaft and a turntable. |
