PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical tape for a superconducting coil which is improved in a cooling capability and the superconducting coil, employing such an electrical tape for a conducting wire, improved in the cooling capability.SOLUTION: An electrical tape for a superconducting coil is interposed between superconducting wire layers, which is wound over multi-layers around a winding frame, for insulating the layers of the superconducting wire. The electrical tape for a superconducting coil comprises void forming means which guides liquid nitrogen to a gap between superconducting wire layers to form a void in contact with the superconducting wire when the superconducting coil is immersed in the liquid nitrogen. In the electrical tape for a superconducting coil, the void forming means is notches, grooves, protrusions or meshes provided on the electrical tape for a superconducting coil. The superconducting coil is also provided for which such an electrical tape for a superconducting coil is employed. |
