PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an accurate distance between color shift detection patterns cannot be calculated because of an error in rotation speed of an intermediate transfer belt 131, speed unevenness thereof, slippage between a drive roller and a belt, or eccentricity of the drive roller.SOLUTION: In an image formation apparatus, near a color shift amount detection sensor for measuring a distance between color shift detection patterns, second conveyor position index detection means for detecting a conveyor position index is provided. Then, it is used as a reference signal to perform counting between color shift detection patterns. When a primary transfer part performs control so as to superimpose toner images on each other precisely for each color, correction is performed on the basis of the count value. |
