PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding method capable of decoding a multi-viewpoint video, even if a front-end NAL unit is not used.SOLUTION: The image decoding method parses the NAL unit of a base view (S200), decodes the image of a base view (S202), parses the parameters of a non-base view (S204), searches whether or not a front-end NAL unit exists (S205), calculates the parameters of a base view if the front-end NAL unit does not exist (S206), otherwise parses the parameters of a base view (S207), parses the NAL unit of a non-base view (S208), and decodes the image of a non-base view by using the parameters of two views (S210). The parameters of two views include non-IDR flag (non_idr_flag), respectively. |
