METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DATA IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE CARRIER

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving data using a plurality of carriers in a mobile communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve upward link performance of a secondary serving cell (SCell), by enabling a terminal to perform random access in the SCell as well as a primary serving cell (PCell). CONSTITUTION: A control part (1010) receives information required for random access to a second cell from a first cell in case of random access trigger for the second cell. The control part transmits preamble to the second cell on the basis of the received information. The control part monitors the receiving of random access response for the second cell through the first cell. The control part applies the information included in the random access response to the cell which has transmitted the preamble when the random access response for the second cell is received.
