PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually recognize information on the bloodstream in a bloodstream region on a two-dimensional tomographic image. SOLUTION: The direction D and the velocity V of the bloodstream in the bloodstream region in the tomographic image representing a tomographic face S'a of a subject into which a contrast medium is injected are specified based on the variation of pixel values in tomographic images in the time series around a prescribed time tc representing the tomographic face S'a, and the variation of the pixel values in tomographic images in the space series parallel to the tomographic face S'a corresponding to the time tc. Then, a tomographic image P'a(tc) corresponding to the tomographic face S'a and the prescribed time tc is displayed in a monitor so that the image of the bloodstream region is displayed in the color corresponding to the direction D of the bloodstream and in the color density corresponding to the velocity V of the bloodstream.
