<p>A gas heated birdbath comprising a shallow bowl 2 and a hollow pedestal 3. The pedestal contains a gas jet assembly unit comprising a gas jet 6, gas cut off sensor 8, igniter 10 and carrier plate 9 which holds the assembly together. A heat spreader plate 4 ensures there are no hotspots. Ventilation holes 7 are provided at the top and the bottom. A viewing window 11 with a plastic plug to check that the gas has ignited is also provided. The gas to the jet is supplied through a flexible gas pipe 12 from a gas container 13, which has a regulator. The gas container can be situated in the hollow pedestal or next to the birdbath in a container sunk into the ground (14, fig 3).</p> |
