PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic joining apparatus that suppresses deformation due to plastic flow even if applied to such a workpiece as a low-rigidity film. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic joining apparatus includes: an anvil (10) on which overlapped workpieces to be joined are placed; and a horn (20) including grooves (211) which is formed on a surface for pressing the workpieces to be joined, into which the workpiece in plastic flow during ultrasonic joining flows, and which presses the workpieces for joining the workpieces by generating ultrasonic vibration.
