PURPOSE: A global motion adjusting apparatus for changeably setting a motion focusing area is provided to perform detection of a motion vector and global motion effectively by setting a variable size, position, and number of the motion focusing area. CONSTITUTION: A motion focusing area detector(120) searches a plurality of areas in which the edge characteristics are emphasized on an image sensed in an image sensor. A global motion detector(130) calculates a global motion vector by a comparison between a current video image of motion focusing area set in the motion focusing area detector and a previous video image of different motion focusing area.
