<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter capable of reducing white hue shift due to red light emission luminance decline caused by expansion of the red color reproducibility of the color filter, which is problematic in the case of using B-LED+YAG for backlight of a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter used for a liquid crystal display device comprises: a backlight using an LED device for obtaining a white light by color mixture of the light emission from a blue LED and a YAG phosphor, as the light source; and a color filter having a plurality of colored layers including at least red, green and blue pixels. The aperture area of the red pixel in one pixel of the color filter is 1.01 to 2 times that of the green pixel or the blue pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
