PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver in which occurrence of separation penalty due to a light separation part is prevented, dependency on the modulation system is eliminated, and easiness is ensured in packaging.SOLUTION: The optical receiver comprises: a light separation part (11) which separates an optical input signal to multiple paths; photoelectric conversion units (12a and 12b) which convert the separated optical input signals into electric signals; discriminators (13a and 13b) which output the results of discrimination performed on the electric signals output from the photoelectric conversion units (12a and 12b) based on predetermined thresholds (V,V); and an operational circuit (14) which performs a predetermined arithmetic operation based on the results of discrimination output from the discriminators (13a and 13b). |
