PURPOSE: Backlight assembly and display device having the same are provided to improve the display quality of an image by preventing misalignment of an optical sheet. CONSTITUTION: An optical sheet (500) has a main body unit and a sheet guide unit. A mold frame (100) has a frame shape to accommodate a light source unit and the optical sheet, forms a sheet guide groove to accommodate the sheet guide unit and has a separation prevention protrusion, formed in one side of the sheet guide groove, preventing misalignment of the optical sheet. A sheet tape (600) is arranged in the optical sheet and an upper part of the mold frame to overlap with a part of the top surface of the optical sheet and a part of the top surface of the mold frame. A tape guide groove is formed in the sheet tape to expose the separation prevention protrusion.
