The blank has a core, and a frame comprising elongated elements extending around the core and defining circumference of the blank. The elongated elements comprise elongated reinforcement elements. The reinforcement elements comprise an outer area (36) and an inner area (38), where the outer area is made from fiber-reinforced composite material. The inner area is free from the composite material. The outer area encloses sections of the inner area in a sectional plane orthogonal to a longitudinal extension direction of the reinforcement elements.
