Fastening means 1 suitable for footwear comprising a resilient member and first 9 and second 11 retaining means, the first and second retaining means being spaced apart along the resilient member. The retaining means are preferably the ends of the resilient member, and are located with opposing eyelets when used with a pair of shoes to retain the eyelets in a fixed fastening position. The retaining means may be provided as one elongate member 19, forming a first and second portion, the two portions being frangibly separable. There may be a third member 17 between the first and second members. Also claimed is a method of fastening an item of footwear using the fastener. |
