<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device for a vehicle including a control section suitably determining occurrence of an anomaly that the vehicle drifts laterally. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device 1 includes an electronic power steering electronic control unit 20 which executes an inclined road travel load reduction control for applying to a wheel turning mechanism an inclined road auxiliary torque for reducing a driver's load when a steering torque of the vehicle V travelling straight is a predetermined torque or more, and which determines the occurrence of the irregularity that the vehicle V drifts laterally, such as tire pressure drops of wheels 2R and 2L or rear wheels, or wheel alignment displacement, when the execution frequency of the inclined road travel load reduction control exceeds a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
