<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining distribution of adhesion forces between a developing roller and a powder particle, to provide the developing roller disposed in a developing device, and to provide a developing device and image forming apparatus which have the developing roller. <P>SOLUTION: The adhesion forces generated between the developing roller and one toner particle being one powder particle are measured at multiple points on the surface of the developing roller, and the distribution of adhesion forces of toner to the surface of the developing roller is determined on the basis of the state of frequency distribution of the measured adhesion forces. For example, when the frequency distribution has a small dispersion, it is determined that the adhesion forces of toner to the surface of the developing roller are distributed with substantially equal forces at any point on the surface of the developing roller. On the contrary, when the frequency distribution has a large dispersion, it is determined that the adhesion forces of toner to the surface of the developing roller are distributed with significantly different forces at points on the surface of the developing roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
