The gearbox has forward gears including front wheel stages (RR, R2-R6) that are arranged between assigned input shafts (EW1, EW2) and countershafts (VW1, VW2). Two of the front wheel stages of the gears are arranged in an inner side of the gearbox, and lower reverse gears are provided as winding gears. Countershaft-side gear wheels (Z3-Z6) of the stages are arranged on a hollow shaft (HW) that is coaxial and arranged on one of the countershafts to be firmly connected with the other countershaft by a couple-shift element (SK).
