The lid handle (1) has a metallic surface and a fastening unit (4) for fastening the lid handle on a lid (2). The lid handle is thermally decoupled from the lid and so a predefined maximum temperature does not exceed during the cooking process. A distance ring (5) is arranged between the lid handle and the lid, and is formed of plastic or metal. The lid handle is filled with filler, particularly phenolic resin. The fastening unit has two screws (10,14) and a disk (9) formed of plastic. The former screw is held in the disk and is directly or indirectly screwed with the lid handle.
