PURPOSE: An optical compensation film is provided to express in-plane retardation by the orientation and to boost thickness direction retardation and to reduce normal dispersion of wavelength dispersion. CONSTITUTION: Re and Rth of an optical film are satisfied with 0 <= Re (550) <= 20, 30 <= Rth (550) <= 150 and 0.9 <= Rth (450) / Rth (550) <= 1.05 before orientation. The Re and the Rth of the optical film are satisfied with 30<= Re (550) <= 150, 30 <= Rth (550) <= 200, 0.8 <= Rth (450) / Rth (550) <= 1.05 after the orientation. The optical film has the haze less than 0.5%.
