PURPOSE: A candle can maintain a specific size and height of a flame until the residual quantity of a candle raw material (paraffin) is wholly burned out, by using the thermal conductivity and capillary phenomena of the candle. CONSTITUTION: A candle which can maintain the height of a wick includes a nonflammable cup; a cylindrical wick protecting pipe (400) of a coiled thermoconductive metal wire (410) which is erected inside the noncombustible cup; and a wick in which a first wick (200) inserted from the lower part of the wick protecting pipe to a place separated a bit from the upper part of the wick protecting pipe and a second wick (300) which is in contact with the first wick and forms a flame are assembled in a protruding state.
