LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery has improved charging and discharging performance by including a non-aqueous electrolyte solution with excellent ion conductivity and to be suitable for a portable apparatus requiring high power. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery includes a negative electrode including a carbon active material; a positive electrode including a lithium transition metal oxide active material; and a non-aqueous electrolyte solution including an ionizable lithium salt, a sulfur-containing compound represented by chemical formula 1, and an organic solvent. In chemical formula 1, each of R1 and R2 is independently a halogen-substituted or non-substituted C1-50 alkyl group; and n is an integer from 1-3. The binding energy of the sulfur-containing compound is 4.0 eV or less when forming a complex together with a lithium ion.
