<p>A system for producing a plan to be adhered to for the movement of goods (C, M, P, Fig 3) into a transportable goods storage area 2, and monitoring of the same, includes weighing means 14 and monitoring means. The weighing means 14 detects the weight of goods (C, M, P) selected for loading. The plan includes a floor plan (24) of the storage area and is generated with respect to the known goods (C, M, P) which are to be loaded onto the one or more floors. The monitoring means monitor whether the goods (C, M, P) are loaded in accordance with the floor plan (24). The floor plan (24) may be displayed on a computer screen or printed out as a hard copy, and may be manually editable. Scanning means may be provided to identify a particular portion of the selected goods (C, M, P) and may be provided in the form of RFID tags and related scanners. The scanning means may be in communication with the monitoring means. A method for producing a plan is also claimed.</p> |
