<p>The switch unit (10) has a switch latch provided with a switching mechanism actuated with a shift lever (22). The switch latch is fastened at a lock circuit board. The lock circuit board comprises positioning tabs formed for positioning the switch unit in a housing (110) of a switching device (100). The lock circuit board is arranged on both sides of the switch latch. The positioning tabs are arranged parallel to each other. The lock circuit board and the positioning tabs exhibit a planar extension formed parallel to a switching direction of the shift lever. The positioning tab is designed as a projection. An independent claim is also included for an electrical switching device.</p>
