PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the lighting operation longer than before by using a built-in battery and by extending the battery life. SOLUTION: An illuminance control apparatus includes: an apparatus body; a battery constituted by a battery 72 placed in the apparatus body; a sensor part 71 which detects the illuminance; a memory part 75 which stores the targeted illuminance value; a wireless communication part 74 which is driven by a battery and carries out data communication; and a control part 73 which compares the illuminance value detected by the sensor part 71 and the targeted illuminance value stored in the memory part 75 and sends the control data based on the detected illuminance value from the wireless communication part 74 only when the detected illuminance value is not in the prescribed range of the targeted illuminance value.
