The object is to provide a resin composition for a heat-resistant electric wire, which is excellent in all of high-temperature melt resistance characteristics, battery fluid resistance and thermal aging resistance, and a heat-resistant electric wire. The present invention relates to: a resin composition for a heat-resistant electric wire, containing from 25 to 60 parts by weight of a polyphenylene ether, from 15 to 42 parts by weight of a polypropylene-based resin, from 8 to 27 parts by weight of a styrene-based elastomer, from 5 to 15 parts by weight of a polyamide, and from 1 to 10 parts by weight of an acid-modified polyolefin, in which the polyamide has a melting point of 201°C or more; and a heat-resistant electric wire using the composition. |
