PURPOSE: A method for recommending an application to a user, a server and a terminal thereof are provided to secure users by increasing the executing possibility of a recommended application through recommending the application corresponding to the application preference of a potential user. CONSTITUTION: The device information of a terminal and the execution information of an application installed at the terminal are received from the terminal in an execution information collecting step. An application which is not installed at the terminal is selected based on the received execution information of the application in an application selecting step. The information related to the selected application is provided to the terminal in an information providing step.
