PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing an on-line lecture service are provided to allow an elderly person to easily listen to an online lecture of a specific topic that he/she wants to listen to, and to easily receive the on-line lecture through an exclusive storage that is combined to a user terminal without needing to access to a web site. CONSTITUTION: A method of a user terminal connected to a lecture providing server for receiving a lecture on-line comprises the steps of: determining whether an exclusive storage device is combined to the user terminal (210); if it is determined the exclusive storage device is combined, running an exclusive interface application in the exclusive storage device (230); presenting an exclusive interface for on-line lectures, which includes an access menu user interface for enabling an access to the lecture providing server, in the user terminal through the exclusive interface application; and if the access menu user interface is selected, receiving a content of a lecture that a user attends from the lecture providing server and running the content.
