The invention encompasses blends of polymers including, for example, polylactic acid and polyethylene terephthalate and articles manufactured therefrom. In certain embodiments, the invention encompasses blends of polymers including, for example, polylactic acid and polyethylene terephthalate that are useful in packaging and have improved physical properties, such as flexibility, elongation and/or dead-fold. In addition, the polymer blends of the invention may be suitable for a number of applications, such as in the manufacture of disposable bottles, wraps, bags and other packaging materials or as coating materials. |
