PURPOSE: A system for connection to online shopping mall using an advertisement widget, an operation method thereof, and a recording medium storing a computer program source thereof are provided to enable a client to view multimedia information provided by a specific webpage of a website where the client accesses through a widget. CONSTITUTION: An advertisement server computer (1100) provides an advertisement widget module program interlinked with an ActiveX program. A shopping mall server computer (1200) is provided with the advertisement widget module program from the advertisement server computer, inserts information of the Internet address of a webpage into the advertisement widget module program and provides the advertisement widget module program. A client computer (1400) searches for product information advertised through the webpage of the shopping mall server computer or orders a product, and downloads the advertisement widget module program via the ActiveX program. The client computer installs the advertisement widget module program and runs an advertisement widget.
