PURPOSE: An online marriage matching system and a method thereof are provided to further increase the membership of an online marriage matching service by providing the service online at a low price with reduced labor costs. CONSTITUTION: A membership management module receives an application for membership online (S10) and asks the applicant to input his personal specification (e.g. educational attainments, assets, debts, occupation, and family members) and his personal information (e.g. weight, height, physical make-up, age, disposition, appearance, and blood type) as well as his ideal type's personal specification and personal information (S20). A verification module verifies the applicant's personal specification using the personal specification information issued by a relevant information-providing site (S30). A matching module identifies the level of compatibility among the verified members, calculates a satisfaction score between selected two members, and singles out top 30 percent matches based on the calculated satisfaction scores (S40). An encoding module encodes the verified personal specifications as well as the inputted personal specifications and the personal information of the members by applying hash functions. A meeting module provides a top 30 percent member with the encoded personal specification and personal information of another top 30 percent member (S50). A storage module stores the encoded personal specification and information (60).
