PURPOSE: A gear selection actuator control device and method are provided to enhance fuel efficiency and control performance by reducing generation frequency of overshooting and undershooting and compensating of response characteristics of a gear. CONSTITUTION: A gear selection actuator control device comprises an actuator(120) and a controller(110). The controller controls a current provided to the actuator in consideration of propinquity of the target location of a gear(130). The actuator is driven by the control of the controller and moves the location of the gear according to the provided current. The actuator is a BLDC(Brushless D.C) motor. The controller reduces the number of overshooting generated until arriving the target location less than fixed number. |
