PURPOSE: An outdoor heat exchanger is provided to vary a refrigerant passage according to cooling and heating modes. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor heat exchanger comprises a first header pipe (141a), a first heat exchange part (143a), a bypass pipe (144), a first distribution pipe (148a), a second header pipe (141b), a second heat exchange part (143b), a second distribution pipe (148b), a second hot gas pipe (168b), and a second hot gas control valve (149b). A refrigerant compressed by the compressor flows into the first header pipe in a cooling mode. The first heat exchange part is connected to the first header pipe to heat-exchange the refrigerant with air. The refrigerant heat-exchanged by the first heat exchange part passes the bypass pipe in the cooling mode. The first distribution pipe is connected to the bypass pipe. The refrigerant passing through the bypass pipe flows into the second header pipe in the cooling mode. The second heat exchange part is connected to the second header pipe to heat-exchange the refrigerant with the air. The refrigerant heat-exchanged by the second heat exchange part passes the second distribution pipe in the cooling mode. The second hot gas pipe connects the compressor and the second distribution pipe. The second hot gas control valve is arranged in the second hot gas pipe to control the flow of the refrigerant. |
