<p>PURPOSE: A ceramic electronic component is provided to have excellent moisture resistance as maintaining thin thickness of an electrode terminal by using an internal electrode. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic body (10), internal electrodes (11,12), a glass coating layer (15) and electrode terminals (13,14). The internal electrodes are prepared in the ceramic body, and the cross section of the internal electrode is exposed on the surface of the ceramic body. The glass coating layer covers the part of the surface of the ceramic body in which the internal electrode is exposed. The electrode terminals are prepared on the glass coating layer, and are constituted with a plated film. The glass coating layer is formed with glass medium where metal powder is dispersed. The internal electrode is protruded from the surface of the ceramic body during glass coating within the range that may not pass through the glass coating layer. The metal powder forms a conduction path connecting the internal electrode and the electrode terminal electrically.</p> |
